We met the good 'ol fashioned way (online) in 2023, and wasted no time setting up an in person coffee date at Java House. Early dates included Korean food, attending concerts, errands together, walks in the park, coffee and wine on the patio and are still fixtures of our life together to this day. Inconveniently, after just three weeks as a couple, Benjamin would be departing for a seven-week music program in Upstate New York. Early on, we were led to be intentional and organized in our relationship goals and clear in our communication. We fell in love at a distance.

Upon reuniting in Indianapolis, we experienced the joys and frustrations of real life together, as well as the happy introduction of our friends and family into the mix.

Memories of the first year together are golden. Celebrating the holidays together was a special treat, from fun in the snow, to holiday cookie projects, to visits to the magical Kristkindl market in Carmel. Family highlights have been trips to Granger to see Aubrey’s brothers, parents and The Boyz (three family dogs), plentiful game playing, and the solar eclipse. With Benjamin's family, tours of the garden, delicious meals together, and our Father's Day croquet match are especially memorable.

Fast forward to July 2024 in Chicago, where Benjamin proposed. He took a knee on a bridge just in front of Smith and Wollensky's steak house where we were having dinner. After this, we had time to enjoy the city, meet penguins at Brookfield Zoo, and convene with both families to celebrate the engagement and fourth of July!

We are now looking forward to celebrating the start of our married life with family and dear friends this upcoming January 2025!
